New Season Church Pastor Steve Flockhart is equally a man of God as he is a family man. His time is well-balanced between his wife and his kids and his congregation and pastoral responsibilities. A typical day in the life of Steve revolves around planning and vision casting, prayer and counseling, preparing his sermon, and visiting new and ailing members of the congregation. Flockhart also takes part in community outreach activities.
On weekends, Steve makes sure he spends some time bonding with his wife and kids, who love playing games and watching sports events with him. The Flockharts follow NBS and NCAA and sometimes, they go to sports events together.
In his sermons, Steve never fails to stress the country's need for strong families, which are a result of strong family foundations. Recently, he preaches a series of messages called “Family Vacation,” encouraging his congregation to stand up and take an active role in keeping their families united.
“I know that our families are suffering and are looking for help. My goal is to take the Word of God and communicate what God has to say in dealing with these family situations,” Flockhart said about his “Family Vacation” series.
